World Can't Wait Joins Us This Month to March Against Torture and Guantanamo
FROM GAZA TOÂ GUANTANAMOÂ TO OAKLAND CITY STREETS,
STOP THE VIOLENCE, STOP THE HATE,Â
NO MORE TORTURE, NO MORE WAR
As we move into the New Year starving for peace, hope and change,
we are greeted with the brutal escalation of Israeli attacks on the Palestinians of Gaza,
the senseless and criminal slaying of an Oakland youth by a BART Police officer, and
the passing of the 7th anniversary of the horrific palace of torture known as Guantanamo.Â
This Sunday, the actual anniversary of the opening of Guantanamo,Â
we are joined by World Can't Wait, who will bring their orange jumpsuits
and black hoods, to march with us as we cry out for an immediate closure of Guantanamo
and all U.S. prisons of torture and abuse. Â
WCW and others will be having continued actions in the afternoon in downtown S.F.,Â
starting at Powell and Market at 1pm, to include rallies, a procession in orange and street theater. Â
On the Bridge, we will walk for justice and peace in GAZA, GUANTANAMO AND OAKLAND CITY STREETS.
